The FabSpace Darmstadt team will be pleased to be a part of ESA’s upcoming social media event for the launch of Sentinel-2B satellite. The event is scheduled to launch the Sentinel-2B spacecraft from Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana at 02:49 CET on 7 March 2017. Sascha Heising and Bayzidul Islam will be part of a wide range of experts referring to important aspects of Earth Observation (EO) technologies. The team will be talking about business opportunities and the collaboration possibilities at FabSpace 2.0. Sascha Heising announced his target for the evening “The Power of Space to Business” and Bayzidul Islam underlines “Space for Sustainable Future”.

ESA’s overnight SocialSpace event, Sentinel2Go at the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), in Darmstadt, Germany will introduce the potentials of the new spacecraft Sentinel-2B which is an identical satellite of Sentinel-2A launched in June, 2015. The satellites are equipped with the state-of-the-art MSI (Multispectral Imager) instrument, that offers high-resolution optical imagery now in 5-day interval with the two constellation satellite.
